Soft Sesame Flax Squares

These squares provide lots of omega-3’s. Serve one - two squares to your child and more than half of his omega-3 needs will be met. They are made mostly out of flax seeds and sesame seeds. Dates are used to sweeten them a little bit. They make a great little snack in between meals or as a small desert after a meal.
Ingredients:
¼ cup flaxseeds
½ cup water
½ cup sesame seeds
¼ tsp salt
3 tbsp dates
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350*C.

Combine flax seeds and water in a high speed blender and mix until you get an egg white consistency.

Add dates to the blender and mix until dates are well incorporated.

Pour in the salt and sesame seeds and give it a stir until all seeds are well distributed.

LInke baking sheet with parchment paper.

Transfer the dough to the lined baking sheet and spread thinly (about 5 mm or 0.2 in).

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes until lightly browned.

Remove from oven and let it cool down. Cut down in desired shapes.
