A vegan pasta sauce right here for you. This lentil pasta sauce is mainly made out of lentils, tahini and soy milk. Those ingredients add body, creaminess and lots of flavor to the vegan white sauce. This easy vegan pasta recipe is great to get lots of iron into your child body.


  • 1 package pasta of choice, cooked

  • 1 cup lentils, red, cooked

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed

  • 6 cloves garlic

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp salt

Lentil Sauce


  1. Put your lentils with 2 1/2 cup of water in a pot with a lid. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Cover with the lid and let it simmer for 20 min. 

  2. Once your lentils are done, put them along with the rest of the ingredients in a food processor. Blend on high until everything is well combined.

  3. Pour in a pan and slightly heat it up.

  4. Serve over cooked pasta of choice.


Add or subtract soymilk to reach your desired consistency.

This recipe makes about 4 cups of sauce. Pour as much or as little you want over your pasta. Save the rest for the next day.

It keeps in the fridge for several days. It becomes thicker with time. Heating it up will make it a bit thinner but you can also add more soy milk to thin it out.

This sauce also freezes well. Make a batch ahead of time and keep in the freezer.
